The Public Relations office is available to field questions from the news media about medical research, education and patient care services at the UVA Health System. Please contact us for answers to your questions and to set up interviews with the right researcher, educator or clinician. Our goal is to help you find the best sources for your story, on deadline.

UVA also has a satellite studio located about 10 minutes from the Health System. We can arrange live interviews on short notice with our physicians and staff.

Josh joined the University of Virginia Health System in 2011 as a writer and editor. He previously worked at The Daily Progress newspaper in Charlottesville, Va., first as a reporter and then as an editor. He is a graduate of UVA.

Meghan is a marketing communications specialist with experience in brand management, campaign development and public relations. Before joining the UVA Health System in 2010, she was in Chicago where she worked in the marketing department of the American Lung Association followed by the University of Illinois at Chicago.
Jason Ellis

Jason joined the marketing communications department at UVA Health System in 2011. He previously worked on-air as a meteorologist and reporter at the CBS affiliate in Jackson, Miss. He also served as a teaching assistant within the communications department at Mississippi State University and as a freelance writer for The Lancaster News in Lancaster, S.C.

Erin joined the UVA Health System in 2006 in marketing and communications, where she worked with the Heart and Cancer centers on marketing campaigns and strategy and helped to launch Club Red. After spending four years working in operations within the OR and primary care, Erin returned to marketing and communications in 2012 to focus on Health System strategy, marketing and public relations. She completed her undergraduate work at UVA in biology and bioethics and her graduate work at UNC-Chapel Hill in healthcare administration.

Tucker is a marketing and public relations specialist who joined the UVA Health System marketing team in 2012. She has worked with two childhood cancer-related nonprofit organizations. Tucker graduated with a degree in public relations from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and gained healthcare communications experience working with the UNC Health Care System.

Matt has over 15 years marketing and communications experience with expertise in strategic and tactical planning, and client and media relations. Matt joined UVA Health System in 2007, focusing initially on online marketing and social media. Prior to joining UVA Matt spent 6 years as Marketing Director for a global technology company.
